Rise + Shine: Kick Start Your Day with a Morning Routine

By Carla Reeves | May 9, 2024

Aren’t you glad you live in the modern era? Conveniences at our fingertips. Access to the world in our phones. News available 24/7 so that you know everything that’s going on in your community, your city, heck – the world! – at all times!

If your reaction to that was a little more complicated than a full-throated, “YES!” I’m right there with you.

Sometimes I long for the days before alarm clocks and virtual meetings and push notifications. Modern days can be so noisy and hectic.

I’m sure you’ve heard the saying “energy flows where attention goes.”

That’s why, if the first thing you do in the morning is check your email or flip on the news, you might be sidetracking yourself from the kind of day you want to have before you even get started!

On this week’s Differently podcast episode, I lay out how to create a morning routine that will help you put your attention on what matters: your goals and your mindset.

By doing a few simple things, you can assert tremendous influence on how your day goes. You can set the tone and pace of your day with just a few minutes and a few practices.

If I had a time machine and magically transported my great-grandmother to my modern life, I think her head would explode!

Life is speeding up and I don’t see it slowing down anytime soon.

That’s why YOU have to take control and take a few minutes to slow down and set your intentions. “Your energy flows where your attention flows.”

Listen to the episode and learn how to create a morning (or afternoon or evening) routine that works for YOU.

And before you tell me you don’t have time, I’d like to remind you that there is no shortage of time, there’s just an abundance of outdated thinking that’s robbing you of your precious time. 😉

Here’s to good mornings!
